Industrial gear oils of newest additive technology – plastic deformation (PD) technology

RENOLIN HighGear is a highlight of the latest FUCHS R&D activities. RENOLIN HighGear is based on selected paraffinic mineral base oils. Synergistic additives guarantee the excellent anti-wear and extreme-pressure performance of these new hightech industrial gear oils. Even under extreme load conditions, extreme mixed-friction and boundaryfriction conditions, at high pressures, at high specific loads and at low relative velocities, on rough surfaces and on pre-damaged surfaces in gears, the newly developed additive technology prevents wear, scuffing and scoring, as well as damages.

The synergistically acting additives are based on special sulphur components, selected surface-active phosphorus components, special zincdialkyldithiophosphates and mineral oil-soluble liquid molybdenum components which can form highperformance tribo protection layers in the contact zone of gear wheel and pinion, in roller bearings and in machine elements under high load. The highperformance tribo protection layers prevent wear at high and low temperatures and under extreme working conditions.

The technology of these synergistically acting additive systems is also known as Plastic Deformation (PD) reaction mechanism. Surface roughness is reduced by a considerable smoothing effect.

The excellent resistance to scuffing and scoring, a high failure load stage in the FZG test, an excellent FE8 roller bearing wear protection and an extremely high resistance to pitting (which can not be reached when using standard industrial gear oils) demonstrate the excellent technical performance of the fully formulated RENOLIN HighGear CLP oils.

The pitting test was passed with excellent results, which indicates that the formulation will also offer an excellent protection against micro-pitting.

Application:
RENOLIN HighGear oils offer an improved thermal and oxidation stability. Under extreme thermal conditions, the formation of sludge under the influence of air (and oxygen) can be avoided. Even when exposed to extreme conditions, RENOLIN HighGear oils remain stable during a long period of time.
The synergistic additive systems remain dissolved in the oil during the long lifetime even at high temperatures. The new additive technology also offers excellent corrosion protection (steel and yellow metal materials) which was tested under extreme test conditions. RENOLIN HighGear products are based on the latest additive technology. Field trials in heavy gear units in the coal / mining industry under extreme working conditions (high temperatures, extreme mixed-friction conditions, pre-damaged tooth surfaces) show that the damage mechanism in the machine elements could be stopped, the surfaces of the tooth flanks could be smoothed and the roughness could be reduced due to the plastic deformation properties of the chemically reacting additives. This high performance could also be demonstrated in spindle systems of forming presses which are also working at high temperatures, under extreme mixed-friction conditions and at low velocities. The field test results are in line with the excellent results in mechanical-dynamic tests which were carried out in the FUCHS mechanical-dynamic test field. RENOLIN HighGear oils can be used in all types of new gears under extreme working conditions to reduce wear, friction and noise. They are also recommended for pre-damaged gear sets, spindles and machine elements to increase the lifetime of the components.

Shipping

SHIPPING IS FREE* for orders of £60 and over , regardless of the weight of your order.
We've tried to keep all other shipping costs as low as we can.

Carriage starts at just £0.95 (inc VAT) for small items, with our most common courier rate set at £4.99 for orders of 5kg (enough for 5 litres of oil).

  • *Free shipping is available for UK Royal Mail, UPS Access Point™ (click & collect) and standard UK courier services (not express / priority / islands).
  • Courier surcharges mean we are unable to offer free "to the door" courier shipping from us in Cornwall up to Highlands / Grampian in Scotland - and because we send a lot of liquids, not every courier option is available to us. UPS Access Point™ (click & collect) is available as a free shipping option across Scotland, Wales and England, wherever there is a UPS Access Point™ Location.
  • Carriage charges are based on weight - please see our table of carriage costs for full details (although adding an item to your cart and viewing the calculated carriage is often easier!).
  • Priority shipping is also available.
